  • • Support the planning, execution, and optimization of Amgen’s U.S. commercial media strategy across Digital, Addressable, Video, TV, Search, and Point of Care channels for both HCP and DTC audiences.
  • • Translate brand and business objectives into integrated media plans that align with enterprise goals and ensure consistent activation across all channels.
  • • Manage day-to-day media operations including trafficking, tagging, tracking, and quality control to ensure accurate and timely campaign execution.
  • • Serve as a media subject-matter expert at the brand or portfolio level, advising stakeholders on channel roles, audience strategy, investment mix, and customer journey orchestration.
  • • Apply and enforce enterprise media platform standards such as DCM, Prisma, MediaTools, and compliance guidelines to maintain data integrity and operational consistency.
  • • Partner with Analytics and Technology teams to design and implement measurement frameworks, tagging standards, and tracking methodologies that enable performance reporting and optimization.
  • • Manage brand-level agency relationships, setting clear expectations for execution quality, measurement rigor, and operational discipline across planning, buying, and reporting.
  • • Coordinate with media platform partners to stay current on platform capabilities, policy updates, and compliance requirements specific to pharmaceutical marketing.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Medical, Corporate Communications, Legal, Technology, and Analytics teams to ensure compliant and effective media execution.
  • • Identify, pilot, and evaluate test-and-learn initiatives including new channels, platforms, data solutions, or activation models to drive innovation and scalability.
  • • Analyze campaign performance data and pilot results to provide actionable recommendations for enterprise-level scaling and continuous improvement.
  • • Ensure all media activities comply with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements, escalating any potential risks or violations promptly.
  • • Travel up to 20% domestically annually to engage with agency partners and visit Amgen headquarters in Thousand Oaks.
  • • Drive continuous improvement by incorporating learnings from campaign performance, industry best practices, and evolving media technologies into future strategies.
  • • Communicate complex media strategies and performance insights clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • • Lead and influence internal and external teams with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical media landscape, including channel-specific nuances in HCP and DTC environments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of media and/or marketing experience OR Master’s degree and 5 years OR Doctorate degree and 3 years OR Associate’s degree and 12 years OR High school diploma/GED and 14 years
  • • 7+ years of experience in paid media/marketing with focus on planning, buying, execution, and measurement
  • • Expertise in media targeting and segmentation for both consumer and HCP audiences, omnichannel journey planning, and media measurement optimization
  • • Experience managing agency relationships and leading cross-functional teams in a regulated environment
  • • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to derive insights from performance data to drive action and improve brand impact
  • • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical marketing
