- • The Associate Director, Patient Engagement will lead Europe-based patient advocacy and engagement initiatives to ensure patient perspectives shape AskBio’s clinical development programs, particularly in Parkinson’s Disease, Cardiovascular Care, and Neuromuscular Diseases.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing external engagement strategies, partnering with patient organizations across Europe, organizing advisory boards and focus groups, participating in patient events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate patient insights into drug development.
- • AskBio Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayer AG, is a gene therapy company dedicated to developing life-saving medicines for rare and common diseases, with a global presence and a mission to transform lives through innovative science.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in patient advocacy within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, build influential relationships with European patient communities, and contribute directly to patient-centered innovation in gene therapy development.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, or a related field and at least 8 years’ experience in patient advocacy/engagement or closely related roles within biotechnology and pharmaceutical healthcare industries
- • Understanding of the drug development process and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, advocacy groups, and internal collaborators
