• • The Associate Director, Technical Accounting role at Airwallex is a strategic leadership position responsible for ensuring the technical integrity and compliance of the company’s global financial reporting under US GAAP, directly supporting the company’s mission to scale as a global financial platform.
• • Day to day, the role involves overseeing monthly reporting integrity, assessing accounting implications of new product launches, resolving complex accounting judgments, maintaining the Global Accounting Policy Manual, designing SOX-compliant internal controls, preparing technical memos for audit scrutiny, driving automation and AI adoption in controllership workflows, and mentoring regional finance teams.
• • The Finance & Corporate Development team drives financial strategy and growth, collaborating across departments to manage risk, execute strategic initiatives, and ensure long-term success in a high-velocity, global environment backed by top-tier investors and serving over 200,000 businesses worldwide.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in complex US GAAP applications, influence financial policy at a global scale, gain experience in pre-IPO finance readiness, and develop leadership in shaping audit-ready financial systems and controls.
