đź“‹ Description
- • As an Associate Enrollment Specialist at Strayer University, Inc., you will serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for prospective students navigating their journey toward earning a degree online. This role is critical to the university’s mission of expanding access to higher education by providing personalized, empathetic guidance that helps individuals identify the right academic path, financing options, and licensure pathways aligned with their career goals and life circumstances. You will build meaningful, one-to-one relationships that empower students to make informed decisions about their future, directly contributing to enrollment success and long-term student outcomes.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include initiating and nurturing relationships with warm leads through phone, chat, email, and social media—never engaging in cold calling—while conducting in-depth consultations to assess readiness, motivations, and educational needs. You will guide prospects through Capella’s enrollment lifecycle by qualifying fit, exploring program options (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD), presenting financing and licinformation, recommending customized solutions, and asking for enrollment when appropriate. You will leverage CRM and automation tools to manage a robust pipeline, track interactions, forecast outcomes, and maintain meticulous records while adhering to contact strategies and service standards. Continuous learning is essential, as you will deepen your expertise in evolving academic offerings and student support resources to establish credibility and trust.
- • You will operate as a collaborative member of a high-performing enrollment team dedicated to delivering a seamless, end-to-end student experience. This includes participating in team discussions, engaging in 1:1 call coaching sessions, sharing best practices, and providing constructive feedback to peers and leadership. Your contributions will help refine processes, improve student engagement, and ensure consistency in service quality across all touchpoints.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced consultative selling skills, deepen your understanding of higher education admissions and financial aid systems, and master CRM and communication technologies used in student recruitment. You will gain experience in managing complex sales cycles with multiple touchpoints, honing your ability to listen actively, solve problems, and tailor solutions to diverse learner profiles. Over time, you will build expertise in student retention principles and ethical enrollment practices, positioning yourself for growth into senior enrollment, advising, or student success roles within the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated track record of high achievement in goal-driven, performance-measured environments, preferably in sales, admissions, recruiting, or customer-facing roles.
- • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
- • Experience with customer-tracking software, CRM platforms, or sales automation tools, and comfort learning new technologies quickly.
- • Previous professional experience in higher education admissions, educational sales, financial services (mortgage/real estate), referral-based sales, fundraising, or retail of high-involvement products/services is preferred.
- • Ability to work a flexible schedule including core hours of 9am–6pm with periodic late coverage from 11am–8pm as business needs require.
- • Strong motivation to work in a mission-driven culture focused on student success and equitable access to education.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance for employees working 30+ hours per week.
