- • We are seeking a passionate and experienced Associate General Counsel to provide strategic and tactical legal counseling on a broad range of issues impacting our sales, engineering, manufacturing and supply, and customer support teams.
- • The role reports directly to the General Counsel and is a part of a small, agile legal team.
- • The ideal candidate is a strong transactional attorney looking to develop a broad skillset in an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves environment.
- • You are equally comfortable advising on negotiation strategy as contributing to the administrative tasks necessary to keep a legal department running efficiently.
- • You are more of a utility infielder/swiss army knife than a position player/specialty tool, but you are ready to add immediate value in at least one of the following areas: commercial contracting, intellectual property, privacy/security, supply chain, M&A/Project Finance.
- • You are passionate about electrification and working with mission-driven colleagues, and thrive diving into unfamiliar territory.
🎯 Requirements
- • J.D. from an accredited law school and member of the California Bar in good standing
- • 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney (3+ years in U.S. law firm)
- • Significant experience reviewing, negotiating, and executing a wide range of commercial agreements
- • Track record of building strong relationships and successfully collaborating with teams throughout the organization
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Self-starter with proven ability to achieve results and work independently
- • Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving workplace
- • Intellectually curious with a sense of humor
