- • The Associate General Counsel - Regulatory & Product role at Interactive Brokers LLC is a critical legal position focused on navigating complex regulatory landscapes in the financial services industry, ensuring compliance with federal securities and commodities laws while supporting innovation in electronic trading and new product development.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating the legal and regulatory impact of new business lines, advising compliance and business teams on SEC, CFTC, FINRA, NFA, and SRO rules, identifying system and procedural changes needed to meet regulatory requirements, drafting specifications for technology teams, preparing legal documentation such as agreements and disclosures, and managing regulatory inquiries from key authorities.
- • The role sits within the General Counsel office, supporting a dynamic, multinational team at a global leader in electronic brokerage known for technological innovation and client-centric solutions, with headquarters in Greenwich, CT and additional locations in New York City and Washington, DC.

🎯 Requirements
- • At least 5 years of post-J.D. experience at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer, or FCM, with preference for broker-dealer or FCM advisory experience.
- • Member in good standing of the bar of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
- • Solid academic background and high degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, including understanding how technology applies to business and regulatory problems.
- • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with ability to work independently and in a small-team environment while managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
