  • • The company is looking for an Associate General Counsel, Revenue to manage a team of transactional attorneys and ensure legal and business objectives are met while mitigating risk.
  • • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract negotiation, drafting, and review, with a focus on revenue-generating contracts.
  • • The role will require significant cross-functional collaboration with the sales organization, engineering teams, and finance and marketing departments.
  • • The Associate General Counsel, Revenue will be responsible for managing a team of high-performing transactional attorneys who negotiate complex commercial contracts, identifying and addressing potential legal and business risks in contracts, and strategizing and partnering with Legal Operations to create and operationalize agreement templates and internal enablement documents.
  • • The role will also involve reviewing contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and any applicable federal and state regulations, clearly explaining contract terminology to customers and other interested parties in simple, everyday language, and collaborating comfortably and enthusiastically with individuals throughout the company.
  • • The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of legal experience, with prior in-house counsel experience a plus, focusing on negotiating and drafting technology-related contracts/commercial agreements.
  • • The candidate should have experience with legal negotiation with government entities and private companies on contract terms and provisions, comfort working with modern SaaS tools such as Slack, Salesforce, Docusign, and/or other cloud-based software tools, and experience partnering with business stakeholders to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • • The Associate General Counsel, Revenue will also be responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues, helping determine business terms and structure transactions, and providing advice to colleagues that balances business objectives and legal risk.
  • • The role will require the ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems and customer complaints/concerns, manage a high volume of customer contracts simultaneously while balancing speed, accuracy, and risk in a fast-moving sales environment, and exercise sound legal judgment in ambiguous situations, knowing when to escalate and when to move forward pragmatically.
  • • The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, and an enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
  • • The Associate General Counsel, Revenue will also be responsible for managing a team of high-functioning commercial attorneys, continuing to support and manage the team, and operating as a team leader within the broader revenue team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8-10 years of legal experience, with prior in-house counsel experience a plus, focusing on negotiating and drafting technology-related contracts/commercial agreements
  • • Experience with legal negotiation with government entities and private companies on contract terms and provisions
  • • Comfort working with modern SaaS tools such as Slack, Salesforce, Docusign, and/or other cloud-based software tools
  • • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes
  • • Ability to identify and analyze legal issues, help determine business terms and structure transactions, and provide advice to colleagues that balances business objectives and legal risk

  • • Must be licensed to practice law in at least one (1) US State and in good standing
