- • Assess the current state of client manufacturing operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased throughput, and improved product flow through the facility.
- • Employ lean methodologies including daily management, visual factory, 6S, and lean problem-solving tools to drive operational improvements.
- • Train client operations leadership on foundational lean principles to ensure the sustainability of implemented changes.
- • Conduct or facilitate lean events such as 6S, Kaizen, and DMAIC projects to drive structured process improvements.
- • Utilize lean problem-solving tools including Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagrams, Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA to diagnose and resolve operational inefficiencies.
- • Travel to client sites as required to support on-site transformation initiatives.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing improvements with broader finance and value creation objectives for private equity-backed portfolio companies.
- • Work within a hybrid model, splitting time between office locations and remote work (2 days per week), with a requirement to be locally based in one of the listed U.S. cities.
- • Manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously while maintaining focus on individual project deliverables.
- • Communicate complex operational issues and solutions clearly to clients and senior team members, escalating concerns when necessary.
- • Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and hands-on involvement in both strategic planning and on-the-ground execution.
- • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture focused on client service and continuous improvement.
- • Maintain proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to support data analysis, reporting, and presentation deliverables.
- • Understand the dynamics between private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies to align lean initiatives with financial value creation goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in process improvement
- • Experience implementing and using The Toyota Production System (TPS)
- • Experience with lean problem-solving tools such as Pareto Charts, Fishbone Diagrams, Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA
- • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- • Ability to conduct or facilitate lean events such as 6S, Kaizen, or DMAIC projects
- • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
