- • Join TheyDo B.V. as an Associate Quality Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in enhancing customer-centricity at scale for global enterprises. In this dynamic, fully remote position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards for our AI-powered journey management platform, a tool trusted by industry giants like Ford, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens, Home Depot, and Lufthansa.
- • Your primary focus will be on upholding and elevating the quality of our product, ensuring that every new feature aligns with our rigorous standards before it reaches our valued customers. This involves a proactive approach to identifying, reproducing, and clearly documenting any issues encountered, making them readily actionable for our product engineering teams.
- • You will be the first line of defense in our quality assurance process, owning second-line support by meticulously verifying bug reports. This means not just identifying bugs, but also understanding their root cause, reproducing them consistently, and providing detailed, actionable feedback to the engineering team to facilitate swift and effective resolution.
- • A significant part of your role will involve performing comprehensive manual and exploratory testing. This hands-on testing will be conducted both before and after product releases, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of the platform's functionality and user experience, and to catch potential issues that automated tests might miss.
- • As you grow in this role, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and contribute to our sophisticated TypeScript-based testing platform. This includes gaining practical experience with cutting-edge tools such as Playwright for end-to-end browser automation and Vitest for unit and integration testing, as well as developing and maintaining API tests.
- • Debugging will be a core competency you develop, utilizing logs, specialized tooling, and systematic investigation techniques to pinpoint the source of issues. This analytical approach is crucial for understanding complex system behaviors and ensuring robust solutions.
- • You will gain invaluable hands-on experience with modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows, specifically leveraging GitHub Actions. Understanding and contributing to these pipelines is key to enabling rapid, reliable software delivery.
- • Embrace the future of software development by integrating AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Claude Code into your daily workflow. You will explore how these tools can enhance efficiency, improve code quality, and accelerate the development process.
- • To foster your growth and ensure best practices are embedded, you will have the opportunity to pair with senior engineers. This mentorship will provide deep insights into testing best practices, the principles of testability, and the importance of a quality-first development mindset.
- • This role is designed to be a stepping stone, offering a clear path for growth beyond traditional manual testing. You will not be confined to repetitive tasks; instead, you will be empowered to learn automation, master modern tooling, and actively contribute to the evolution of our quality engineering practices.
- • We are looking for individuals who are not just detail-oriented but also possess a strong sense of curiosity and a genuine desire to understand how systems function. This intrinsic motivation is key to identifying potential issues and driving improvements.
- • You will be an integral part of a collaborative, asynchronous, and people-first culture, working alongside a diverse, globally distributed team. Your ability to organize, document, and communicate effectively, especially in written form, will be paramount to your success and the team's collective progress.
- • This position offers a unique chance to contribute to a category-defining company that is revolutionizing how enterprises manage customer journeys, making a tangible impact on how businesses operate and connect with their customers worldwide.
