📋 Description
- • The Associate Software Engineer II role at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee supports the Salesforce and Broker Solutions team in building core technical skills within a large-scale enterprise environment, focusing on configuration support, basic development, and operational support for Salesforce Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and broker-related systems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include formulating system scope and objectives, designing and coding programs, testing and debugging software, responding to system failures to minimize downtime, providing guidance to less-experienced programmers, and supporting multiple project teams through technical contributions and presentations.
- • The team operates within a large enterprise healthcare organization, emphasizing foundational SDLC knowledge, software testing, and DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps, with opportunities to work on moderately complex information systems across Salesforce platforms.
- • This role offers the opportunity to develop skills in testing, troubleshooting, production support, and DevSecOps practices while gaining hands-on experience with Salesforce administration, Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, and enterprise-scale application lifecycle management.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- • 2 years of programming experience
- • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards
- • Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST
- • Foundational understanding of Salesforce administration or development (basic Apex, Flows, exposure to Lightning Web Components)
- • Hands-on experience or training with declarative tools including Flows, Validation Rules, and page layouts
