- • Develop and maintain Siemens PLC software using TIA Portal, ensuring code is structured, readable, and designed for handover to deployment teams.
- • Create and manage complete, accurate electrical schematics in EPLAN Electric P8, aligned with build and deployment team requirements.
- • Own and establish PLC version control workflows to ensure automation software is traceable, recoverable, and systematically managed.
- • Set up and configure industrial communication protocols including IO-Link, Profisafe, and Profinet, and interface with external devices such as VFDs, remote I/O, and IO-Link sensors.
- • Collaborate with mechanical, safety, and software engineering teams during R&D to provide controls and electrical input on robotic cell architecture from early design stages.
- • Commission and troubleshoot robotic cells during delivery and deployment, including on-site at customer facilities to resolve operational issues.
- • Lead or support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to verify that robotic cells meet technical specifications before customer handoff.
- • Diagnose and resolve hardware-related customer issues in collaboration with Forward Deploy and Operational Support Engineers in the field.
- • Ensure all automation and electrical deliverables transition reliably from prototype to production-ready systems, owning the quality of what is shipped.
- • Work cross-functionally across R&D and Delivery teams in Ljubljana, contributing to both development and real-world deployment of intelligent robotic cells.
- • Travel to customer sites as needed to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of deployed robotic systems.
- • Contribute to the reliability and maintainability of automation systems by enforcing disciplined engineering practices in controls and electrical design.
- • Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable automation solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- • Maintain documentation and standards for automation workflows to ensure consistency across all robotic cell deployments.
- • Act as the primary point of accountability for the electrical and automation integrity of every robotic cell shipped to customers.
