- • Lead the Managed Care Contracting & Medical Economics business unit at Salud Healthcare, a rapidly growing Management Services Organization transforming value-based care through data-driven insights and technology.
- • Apply quantitative analysis to underwrite risk across value-based care contracts including P4Q, professional fee capitation, two-sided shared savings, and global capitation arrangements.
- • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on legal, financial, and operational aspects of managed care negotiations and participate in payor JOC meetings to align on performance targets.
- • Develop IBNR models from claims data to predict future paid claims experience and support organizational risk assessment for value-based care participation.
- • Engage with payor partners to negotiate FFS and value-based arrangements for provider network affiliates while leveraging healthcare economics expertise.
- • Contribute to shaping the future of healthcare technology in a mission-driven organization focused on improving patient outcomes and financial performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, healthcare economics, quantitative analysis, mathematics, or a closely related field; statistics background preferred.
- • ASA or FSA designation required, or demonstrable progress toward achieving such actuarial credentials.
- • Proven experience as a healthcare economist or actuary with a payor or benefits consultant background.
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis, modeling, and presentation development.
- • Experience across multiple health insurance products including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and exchange lines of business.
- • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate complex concepts to physicians, executives, and external stakeholders.
