📋 Description

• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
• Optimize AWS resource utilization and reduce costs through rightsizing, reserved instances, automated scaling, and FinOps practices.
• Manage multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations, Identity Centre, and Control Tower.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies using native AWS services for high availability and data resilience.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and AWS CodePipeline with integrated automated testing and security scanning.
• Automate application deployments to ECS, EKS, Lambda, and EC2 environments using blue-green deployment strategies.
• Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions, and manage containerized workloads via Amazon ECR.
• Configure and optimize service mesh architectures using AWS App Mesh where applicable.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, AWS Systems Manager, and AWS OpenSearch for log aggregation and distributed tracing.
• Set up alerting, dashboards, and operational runbooks to enable proactive incident management and reduce mean time to resolution.
• Enforce AWS security best practices using IAM, Security Groups, NACLs, AWS Config, Secrets Manager, and Parameter Store.
• Configure and manage AWS GuardDuty, AWS Inspector, and AWS Security Hub for threat detection and compliance automation.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates using AWS Certificate Manager and enforce encryption standards across services.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, and AWS CLI/SDK to streamline operational tasks including patching, backup, and maintenance.
• Create AWS Lambda functions for event-driven automation using CloudWatch Events and EventBridge.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using HashiCorp Packer and AWS Systems Manager.
• Apply DevOps best practices including GitOps workflows, automated testing, and deployment strategies across microservices architectures.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements through automated scanning and governance controls.
• Support global infrastructure deployments with multi-region and cross-account architectures.
• Maintain detailed documentation for operational procedures, system configurations, and incident response protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
• Participate in occasional business travel within the UK as required for on-site engagements.

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Proven experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, and CloudFront
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and AWS CodePipeline
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD, GitOps, and automated testing
