- • Lead the design and implementation of a secure, production-ready Azure foundation from scratch in enterprise environments, ensuring identity, governance, networking, and operational patterns are established before any application development begins.
- • Conduct comprehensive tenant reviews and design subscription structures, management groups, and resource organization models aligned with enterprise scaling requirements.
- • Design and deploy identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, including RBAC, administrative groups, privileged access management, MFA enforcement, and break-glass account configurations.
- • Establish a secure Azure baseline by implementing governance policies, resource tagging standards, Key Vault integration, Defender for Cloud configurations, centralized logging, monitoring frameworks, and cost optimization controls.
- • Define and implement core Azure networking patterns including VNets, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity strategies, and secure access models to ensure platform readiness for downstream workloads.
- • Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to ensure environment repeatability, consistency, and scalability across environments.
- • Deliver fully documented architecture decisions, configuration standards, and operational runbooks that enable internal teams to own and scale the platform without rework or ambiguity.
- • Hand over the completed Azure foundation with clear operating guidance, ownership matrices, and support protocols for delivery teams and platform stewards.
- • Ensure the Azure environment is free of architectural gaps, compliance risks, or configuration inconsistencies that could delay or hinder application deployment.
- • Operate in client-facing contexts with high ownership, translating complex technical requirements into actionable platform designs that align with enterprise security and operational standards.
- • Collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders to define platform requirements, communicate design rationale, and ensure alignment on scalability, security, and governance goals.
- • Maintain a disciplined approach to documentation, ensuring all architecture choices, dependencies, and operational procedures are clearly recorded and easily accessible.
- • Proactively identify and remediate potential weaknesses in identity management, access control, or governance before they impact downstream delivery teams.
- • Support the transition of the Azure platform from setup to ongoing operation by training internal owners and documenting maintenance procedures.
- • Apply an Agile mindset to adapt platform designs based on evolving client needs while maintaining strict adherence to security and compliance benchmarks.
- • Embed AI-first principles by leveraging automated governance tools, AI-driven monitoring, and predictive cost controls where applicable to enhance platform efficiency.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in Azure DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- • Proven experience setting up Azure environments from scratch (greenfield)
- • Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity/security best practices
- • Hands-on experience with Azure governance (management groups, policies, tagging)
- • Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, private endpoints, connectivity patterns)
- • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
