- • As a Back-End Engineer at Deel, you will play a critical role in building and scaling the company’s global financial infrastructure, including cross-border payment systems that power payroll, treasury, and compliance for businesses and workers worldwide.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with frontend engineers, product teams, designers, and QA to develop robust features and APIs, participating in product planning across the software development lifecycle, solving complex fintech problems, and optimizing systems for high-volume, scalable performance.
- • You’ll join a globally distributed team of over 7,000 people across 100+ countries, working at one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, backed by a $17.3 billion valuation and $1B in ARR, where innovation, diversity, and inclusion are core to the culture.
- • In this role, you’ll deepen your expertise in backend systems, financial domain knowledge, and scalable architecture while contributing to products that impact millions of workers in 150+ countries, accelerating your career at the forefront of the future of work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Professional experience in fintech or financial domains such as payments, accounting, exchanges, banking, or crypto.
- • Experience working at or building systems for companies like Wise, PayPal, Stripe, Adyen, Coinbase, Revolut, or similar.
- • Familiarity with compliance-sensitive environments including KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, or regulatory reporting.
- • Expertise in backend development with strong OOP principles and proficiency in at least one server-side language.
- • Database mastery with PostgreSQL, including query optimization, data migrations, and data modeling.
- • 4+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.
