📋 Description

• • As a Back End Engineer in the Credit Compass New Data squad at iwoca Limited, you will help design and build scalable, high-performing services that power Credit Compass, enabling small businesses to understand, monitor, and improve their credit health through data-driven insights.
• • Day to day, you will assist in building, testing, and shipping new user-facing features such as Monitoring, Cashflow Analysis, and Spend Benchmarking; contribute to the full development lifecycle from technical design to rollout; maintain and support core systems; monitor and troubleshoot production issues; and write clean, well-tested code in Python/Django while engaging in code reviews.
• • You will join the Credit Compass team, a cross-functional group of front-end and back-end engineers, product, design, and analytics professionals who own the product end-to-end—from integrating data sources and shaping scoring logic to designing dashboards and user journeys that drive customer engagement.
• • In this role, you will learn to integrate richer data sources like Open Banking and credit reports, gain experience in end-to-end feature delivery in a scale-up environment, deepen your expertise in Python web frameworks and relational databases, and develop a product mindset by using experiments and metrics to guide decisions that impact real users.
