- • As a Back-End Engineer on the Team Agents squad at Taktile Technologies Inc., you will play a critical role in building and shipping production features for an AI-native platform that empowers financial institutions to automate and optimize decisions using autonomous agents. Your work will directly impact how banks and insurance companies leverage AI to approve customers, reimburse claims, stop fraud, and fund businesses at scale.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement backend features using Python (FastAPI) on AWS serverless infrastructure, own features end-to-end from scope to release, improve agent reliability and tool integrations, leverage LLMs like Claude to enhance development velocity, participate in code reviews to raise engineering standards, and engage in team rituals including daily syncs, planning, and technical deep-dives. You will also contribute to observability, CI/CD, and eventually take part in on-call rotations to grow your DevSecOps expertise.
- • You will join a high-ownership, fast-moving engineering team in Berlin that values simplicity, precision, and technical excellence. Taktile operates with a flat hierarchy where engineers collaborate closely with founders and contribute to foundational product layers. The company is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days per week in the Berlin office, and fosters a culture of mentorship, cross-team learning, and continuous growth.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in backend systems, cloud-native architectures, and AI-integrated tooling while gaining ownership experience in a production environment serving enterprise clients. You’ll grow as an engineer by working on complex distributed systems, improving reliability practices, and contributing to a platform that processes millions of decisions daily for leading fintechs like Mercury, Monzo, and Faire.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision
- • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, essential for remote collaboration and AI interaction
- • Prior industry experience with Python back-end development (not entry-level)
- • Experience building and operating RESTful APIs and working with databases
- • Experience integrating into AWS or similar cloud providers
