Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect and own the next-generation backend services that power $6B in TVL and 100k+ users. You’ll design resilient, low-latency APIs and internal micro-services that enable partners like ether.fi, PlasmaUSD, Lombard, and Mantle to launch and scale on-chain yield products in days—not months.
- • Translate complex DeFi primitives into clean, maintainable code. From vault accounting logic to real-time yield calculations, you’ll implement domain models that are both mathematically precise and developer-friendly, ensuring downstream teams can integrate without surprises.
- • Drive end-to-end delivery cycles. You’ll scope ambiguous requirements, break them into milestones, write the code, craft automated tests, and shepherd releases through CI/CD into production. Ownership doesn’t stop at merge—expect to monitor, debug, and iterate based on live metrics.
- • Refactor legacy components into modern, observable, and horizontally-scalable systems. Whether it’s migrating a monolithic job runner to an event-driven architecture or replacing brittle cron scripts with Kubernetes CronJobs, you’ll leave the codebase measurably better than you found it.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, smart-contract engineers, and security auditors. You’ll translate business goals into technical tasks, surface risks early, and negotiate trade-offs that balance speed, safety, and user experience.
- • Champion reliability and observability. You’ll instrument services with metrics, traces, and structured logs; define SLOs; and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for mission-critical endpoints that move millions of dollars daily.
- • Optimize data pipelines for speed and correctness. You’ll tune PostgreSQL queries, design read replicas, and leverage streaming platforms to deliver sub-second API responses while maintaining audit-grade accuracy of on-chain events.
- • Contribute to engineering culture. From rigorous code reviews to internal tech talks, you’ll raise the bar for quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers in a remote-first, async environment.
- • Stay ahead of the curve. You’ll evaluate new cloud services, database engines, or protocol upgrades, running proof-of-concepts that could shave milliseconds off latency or cut infrastructure costs by double-digit percentages.
- • Protect user funds like they’re your own. You’ll integrate security best practices—input validation, rate limiting, secrets management, and incident response playbooks—into every layer of the stack, ensuring Veda remains the trusted backbone of DeFi.
