📋 Description

• • As a Backend Engineer on Stripe’s Core Tech team in Canada, you will help build and maintain the foundational infrastructure that powers Stripe’s global payments platform, enabling millions of businesses to operate at scale.
• • Day to day, you will design, build, test, and ship high-quality code for critical systems such as compute, networking, distributed caching, and data serving platforms; debug production issues across multiple stack levels; collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize roadmap initiatives; and improve the experience for internal and external users of Stripe’s infrastructure.
• • You will join Stripe Infrastructure, a team responsible for the reliability, scale, performance, and cost of Stripe’s systems, as well as the productivity and sentiment of its engineers, working on foundational platforms that support everything from low-latency microservices to machine learning pipelines.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in large-scale distributed systems, gain ownership over mission-critical infrastructure, and grow as an autonomous, entrepreneurial engineer who drives impact across a globally distributed, high-performance engineering culture.
