- • Backend Engineer (DevOps-oriented) role at Skelar AS, contributing to Leaply — a healthtech ecosystem building digital and physical products to help people build healthy habits globally.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining backend applications using Node.js/TypeScript, NestJS, and GraphQL; contributing to infrastructure development on Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes; improving CI/CD processes; collaborating with product, growth, marketing, payments, and analytics teams; using AI tools to enhance development workflows; and proactively identifying technical risks and opportunities for improvement.
- • Skelar AS is a Ukrainian venture builder with 15+ businesses across EdTech, HealthTech, and other niches, serving millions of users worldwide and featured in TechCrunch, Wired, and other global media. The company employs 1500+ professionals and fosters a culture of open communication, ambitious goals, and fast execution.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and developer experience while contributing to scalable technical foundations that support 3x business growth in 2025 and target top-3 global healthtech positioning by 2026. You will grow through cross-functional collaboration, AI-augmented development, and ownership of critical backend and infrastructure systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in building and maintaining backend applications in Node.js / TypeScript
- • Hands-on experience with NestJS and GraphQL
- • Practical experience with Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes
- • Experience working with infrastructure and setting up or improving CI/CD processes
- • Ability to write production-level code and contribute to backend development
- • Experience working in cross-functional teams with product, analytics, marketing, or business stakeholders
- • Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
- • Proactive and responsible mindset with focus on solving user and business problems
- • Passion for learning new technologies and actively using AI tools in workflow
