📋 Description

• As a Backend Engineer IC2 at Addi S.A.S., you will take end-to-end ownership of software you design, develop, test, and release into production, directly contributing to Colombia’s leading Buy Now, Pay Later platform that serves over 2 million customers and 20,000 merchants.
• Day to day, you will architect resilient and scalable components using JVM-based technologies (Java, Kotlin, Scala), develop new features, write automated tests, review pull requests, deploy via CI/CD daily, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to Architecture Decision Records while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Addi is a conscious, technology-first financial platform backed by top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz and Goldman Sachs, recently achieving profitability and regulatory approval to operate as a bank, with a mission to redefine financial freedom in Latin America through ownership, excellence, and collaboration.
• In this role, you will grow your expertise in scalable backend systems, event-driven architectures with Kafka, CI/CD automation, and fintech product development, while gaining mentorship and ownership opportunities in a fast-paced, high-impact environment shaping the future of payments and banking in Colombia.

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years of experience in backend development with JVM-based technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala
• Hands-on experience with backend languages (Java 11, Kotlin, Scala) and frameworks like Spring Boot
• Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis for database management
• Strong experience with automated testing and designing scalable, secure APIs
• Knowledge of Kafka for event-driven systems and proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
• Nice to have: Proficiency in reactive programming, Docker, and Kubernetes
