- • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript to support Prograd’s fintech and EdTech platform.
- • Develop and implement both GraphQL and REST APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend applications and backend services.
- • Manage database design, optimization, and querying using SQL, PostgreSQL, and Prisma ORM to ensure data integrity and performance.
- • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including services for compute, storage, and networking, with full ownership of deployment pipelines.
- • Implement event-driven architecture using tools like Inngest to handle asynchronous workflows and system integrations.
- • Integrate third-party services including Resend, Onfido, Clerk, and Hubspot to enhance user authentication, communication, and analytics capabilities.
- • Structure codebases using microservices and monorepo patterns with Turborepo to improve maintainability and development velocity.
- • Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and rapid, reliable deployments.
- • Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues, ensuring high system availability and performance for end users.
- • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including product and business teams.
- • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system architecture, scalability, and developer workflows.
- • Work independently to ship features end-to-end while maintaining high standards for code quality and documentation.
- • Maintain a strong focus on security, particularly around OAuth and SSO protocols for user authentication and data protection.
- • Contribute to a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements, adapting quickly to new priorities and technologies.
- • Support the company’s mission of improving financial literacy among young people by building reliable, user-centric backend systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 3 years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- • Experience designing and implementing GraphQL and REST APIs
- • Hands-on experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and Prisma (or similar ORM)
- • Proven experience with AWS cloud services and deployment processes
- • Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Inngest)
- • Familiarity with third-party integrations, OAuth, and SSO protocols
