📋 Description

• Design, build, and scale enterprise-grade data pipelines on Snowflake to support high-volume transactional data processing from 110M+ annual transactions and $257B in annual volume.
• Optimize the foundational Snowflake architecture for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability, ensuring seamless integration with finance and customer systems across 10,000+ customers.
• Develop and maintain robust data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows that enable real-time and batch processing for commercial data products.
• Lead the evolution of the data platform from foundational governance to an agentic engineering and MLOps-enabled ecosystem, integrating intelligent semantic models that directly feed product features.
• Collaborate as a full-stack generalist within the engineering pod, sharing ownership of pipeline resilience, end-to-end observability, and data quality monitoring across the entire data lifecycle.
• Implement advanced observability tooling to detect anomalies, track lineage, and ensure data integrity across complex, multi-source data flows.
• Partner with data scientists and product teams to operationalize machine learning models, ensuring scalable deployment and continuous monitoring in production environments.
• Contribute to the design and governance of data schemas, metadata standards, and access controls to support secure, compliant, and auditable data usage across the organization.
• Drive automation of repetitive data engineering tasks to reduce manual intervention and increase team velocity in delivering high-margin data products.
• Advocate for best practices in data engineering, including infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled data workflows.
• Translate business requirements from finance and commercial teams into technical specifications for data solutions that unlock working capital and improve cash flow clarity.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation, code reviews, and technical leadership.
• Stay current with emerging trends in data platform architecture, AI enablement, and cloud-native data technologies to continuously improve Versapay’s data infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise data platforms using Snowflake
• Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining complex ETL/ELT pipelines with modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java) for data processing and automation
• Experience implementing data observability, lineage tracking, and monitoring solutions in production environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and deploying machine learning models into production data pipelines
