📋 Description

• Own the entire accounting cycle for Glow25 – from daily postings in DATEV to audit-ready HGB year-end statements – and become the financial backbone of our fast-scaling beauty brand.
• Execute and continuously improve the full spectrum of financial accounting: maintain the general and sub-ledgers, post incoming invoices and outgoing payments, manage fixed-asset accounting, and reconcile all balance-sheet accounts on a tight monthly cadence.
• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, ensuring every accrual, deferral, provision and valuation is documented, traceable and audit-proof; present results to founders, investors and external tax advisors in crisp, business-friendly language.
• Drive the valuation and booking of typical e-commerce transactions – revenue recognition for multi-channel sales, inventory movements across 3PL warehouses, marketing accruals, return provisions – while keeping an eagle eye on margin impact and cash-flow timing.
• Act as the first point of contact for all accounting-related questions from Operations, Marketing and HR in our fully remote setup; translate complex numbers into actionable insights so non-finance colleagues can make faster, better decisions.
• Champion the digital transformation of finance: map and optimize end-to-end workflows in DATEV, test new OCR and e-invoice tools, automate recurring journal entries, and build dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility on KPIs such as gross margin, CAC payback and working-capital days.
• Partner closely with external tax consultants and auditors; prepare the data room, lead interim audits, and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls and risk management.
• Support ad-hoc tax projects – from VAT compliance across EU member states to transfer-pricing documentation – by providing clean data, clear narratives and pragmatic solutions.
• Guard the quality gate: design and run monthly checklists, spot-check expense reports, enforce the chart-of-accounts policy, and ensure every posting meets Glow25’s high standards before it hits the ledger.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives such as ERP upgrades, new payment-provider integrations or sustainability reporting, bringing a finance lens to strategic decisions that shape the next growth phase of the company.
• Mentor junior team members and share DATEV hacks, Excel shortcuts and HGB best practices so the entire accounting tribe levels up together.

🎯 Requirements

• Abgeschlossene Ausbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or equivalent qualification plus several years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth D2C or e-commerce environment.
• DATEV power user with proven ability to run end-to-end accounting, close books quickly and generate audit-ready HGB financial statements.
• Solid understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and basic tax know-how (USt, KSt, GewSt); familiarity with GmbH corporate law is a plus.
• Structured, self-driven and quality-obsessed: you own your processes, meet tight deadlines and keep an immaculate filing system – digital first.
• Strong communicator in German (C1) and good command of English (B2) to collaborate with international suppliers and remote colleagues.
