📋 Description

• Serve as a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Advisor supporting full-cycle recruitment across Giant Tiger’s Home Office, Distribution Centres, and Franchisee In Training (FIT) Program.
• Partner with business leaders to create strategic recruitment plans aligned with organizational talent needs and timelines.
• Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, cultural fit criteria, and recruitment strategies.
• Source, screen, and assess candidates using LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, and other channels to build robust talent pipelines.
• Conduct interviews in both English and French to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and alignment with Giant Tiger’s values.
• Coach and guide hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interview techniques, candidate selection, internal mobility, and compensation guidelines.
• Manage offer negotiations while adhering to Giant Tiger’s compensation philosophy, internal equity standards, and market competitiveness.
• Coordinate background checks, reference verifications, assessments, and other pre-employment activities throughout the hiring lifecycle.
• Ensure a professional and positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Giant Tiger by promoting company culture, mission, and employee experience to candidates and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment documentation within the ATS and HRIS systems.
• Support recruitment for the Franchisee In Training (FIT) Program, identifying and attracting future store leaders and franchise operators.
• Work independently in a fully remote environment while effectively collaborating with teams across multiple Canadian locations.
• Travel occasionally to Giant Tiger locations for team meetings or recruitment events.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in hiring practices while ensuring compliance with fair employment standards.
• Utilize recruitment technologies including Workday (preferred), LinkedIn, Indeed, and other ATS platforms to streamline processes and track metrics.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or a related people-focused field (e.g., customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, business development)
• Professional-level fluency in both English and French (spoken and written), including the ability to conduct interviews and communicate with stakeholders in both languages
• Experience using an ATS and HRIS system (Workday preferred), LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment technologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and time management skills
• Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience influencing hiring decisions and coaching managers on recruitment best practices
