📋 Description
- • The Bilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist role at Manulife Financial Corporation supports the National Rehabilitation Service by providing vocational rehabilitation services to eligible members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), facilitating their return to work through customized strategies.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, monitoring, and implementing innovative vocational rehabilitation strategies for claimants receiving disability benefits, managing budgets, coordinating with healthcare providers and care vendors, delivering complex messages to policyholders and medical professionals, and conducting mediation or negotiation sessions as needed.
- • The role is based in a home office with regional travel required across Quebec City and surrounding areas, and the incumbent will manage a caseload in this geographic region while occasionally covering other regions as needed.
- • The position offers opportunities to develop expertise in disability management, rehabilitation best practices, budget and vendor management, and stakeholder communication, while contributing to the profitability of Group Disability by enabling timely return to work for claimants.
🎯 Requirements
- • Related university degree with preference for Health Sciences backgrounds in Psychology, Counseling, or Nursing.
- • Minimum of 5 years of extensive vocational rehabilitation experience or several years of active rehabilitation experience.
- • Fully bilingual in French and English, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages to support clients across jurisdictions.
- • Valid driver’s license and access to a car required for regional travel to various locations.
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable delivering presentations to large groups, both virtually and in person.
