- • Own the revenue cycle for CRMS by DocGo’s fast-growing mobile-health and remote-patient-monitoring services. You will be the final, critical link between the care our 5,000+ clinicians deliver in the field and the reimbursements that keep the mission alive.
- • Submit clean, compliant professional claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and a portfolio of commercial payers every day. You’ll interpret physician documentation, select accurate CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes, append modifiers, and ensure each claim meets payer-specific rules before transmission.
- • Drive down denial rates by performing proactive eligibility and benefit verifications, securing prior authorizations, and obtaining referrals. When denials still happen, you’ll craft persuasive appeals backed by clinical evidence and payer policy.
- • Post and reconcile payments quickly and accurately—EOBs, ERAs, patient checks, and credit-card transactions—so that patient ledgers and general-ledger reports stay in perfect sync.
- • Hunt aged A/R with the tenacity of a detective: analyze aging buckets, prioritize high-dollar accounts, and execute systematic follow-up calls and written correspondence to recover every allowable dollar.
- • Recommend accounts for third-party collections only after exhausting internal efforts; prepare concise, legally compliant packets for the collection agency and monitor their recovery performance.
- • Serve as the friendly, knowledgeable voice for patients who call with billing questions. You’ll explain EOBs, set up interest-free payment plans, and escalate complex hardship cases to financial counselors.
- • Field inbound calls from insurance reps, resolve payment discrepancies on the spot, and document every interaction in the EMR and billing system for a crystal-clear audit trail.
- • Juggle multiple EMRs (Epic, eClinicalWorks, athenahealth, and proprietary platforms) without breaking stride—pulling demographics, clinical notes, and charge documents while maintaining HIPAA-grade security.
- • Champion continuous improvement: flag recurring coding or process errors, suggest system enhancements, and mentor junior billers so the entire team levels up.
- • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, CMS guidelines, and HMO/PPO contractual language; complete quarterly compliance training and serve as a go-to resource for teammates.
- • Thrive in a 100 % remote environment—self-direct your day, hit daily production metrics (claims submitted, A/R touched, cash posted), and still make time for virtual coffee chats with your squad.
- • Participate in monthly revenue-cycle huddles where you’ll present denial-trend dashboards, celebrate wins, and brainstorm tactics to accelerate cash flow.
