📋 Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic biology problems that challenge frontier AI models with exactly one verifiable correct answer, grounded in authentic scientific workflows.
- • Create problems spanning molecular biology, genetics, systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or other quantitative biology domains as aligned with expertise.
- • Develop tasks that require experimental reasoning, analysis of biological systems, computational modeling, or bioinformatics pipeline interpretation.
- • Submit complete, verified solutions for all generated problems, ensuring technical accuracy, reproducibility, and clarity in methodology and reasoning.
- • Apply Python for data analysis, algorithmic problem design, or automation of biological data processing workflows where relevant.
- • Integrate specialized biology or bioinformatics tools (e.g., sequence analyzers, structural modeling software, genomic platforms) when necessary to construct realistic computational challenges.
- • Maintain rigorous standards for scientific validity, ensuring all problems reflect current research practices and avoid ambiguous or open-ended formulations.
- • Ensure all problem statements and solutions are written in clear, precise English with meticulous attention to detail and terminology.
- • Collaborate remotely with a distributed team of STEM experts to align problem design with AI training objectives for leading AI labs.
- • Deliver high-quality problem sets within a 2-month contract period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
- • Work 20 hours per week on a part-time, contract basis, managing own schedule while meeting deadlines for problem submission and review cycles.
- • Contribute to building training datasets used to enhance AI reasoning capabilities in scientific domains, directly supporting advancements in AI for life sciences.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Biology or a related life sciences field
- • Research or industry experience involving computational or quantitative biological analysis
- • Strong Python skills; experience with data analysis or bioinformatics workflows preferred
- • Strong reasoning ability and comfort with multi-step scientific problem solving
- • Ability to create original, difficult problems grounded in real biological practice
- • Clear written English and strong attention to detail
