📋 Description
- • Design advanced biology problems that challenge frontier AI systems with deterministic tasks requiring exactly one verifiable correct answer.
- • Create scientifically authentic problems grounded in real-world biological practices, including experimental reasoning, biological systems, computational analysis, or bioinformatics workflows.
- • Develop problems within specialized domains such as molecular biology, genetics, systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or adjacent quantitative biology fields.
- • Submit complete, verified solutions for all created problems, ensuring technical accuracy and reproducibility.
- • Use Python to implement computational components of problems, and apply specialized biology or bioinformatics tools when relevant.
- • Maintain rigorous standards of technical clarity, precision, and scientific integrity in all problem formulations and accompanying solutions.
- • Ensure all problems reflect authentic scientific workflows used in academic or industrial research settings.
- • Collaborate remotely as a contract part-time contributor, dedicating 20 hours per week to problem design and solution validation.
- • Work on a 2-month project with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
- • Contribute to high-quality STEM training data used by leading AI labs to enhance reasoning capabilities in scientific domains.
- • Demonstrate strong reasoning ability through multi-step scientific problem construction that tests AI model logic and domain knowledge.
- • Produce clear, well-documented written content in English with meticulous attention to detail and no ambiguity in problem statements or solutions.
- • Leverage expertise in computational or quantitative biological analysis to design problems that are both challenging and grounded in current biological research.
- • Ensure all generated content is original, non-repetitive, and avoids publicly available or textbook-style questions.
- • Align problem complexity with the capabilities of frontier AI models, pushing boundaries without introducing non-deterministic or subjective elements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Biology or a related life sciences field
- • Research or industry experience involving computational or quantitative biological analysis
- • Strong Python skills; experience with data analysis or bioinformatics workflows preferred
- • Strong reasoning ability and comfort with multi-step scientific problem solving
- • Ability to create original, difficult problems grounded in real biological practice
- • Clear written English and strong attention to detail
