📋 Description
- • Design advanced biology problems that challenge frontier AI systems with deterministic tasks requiring exactly one verifiable correct answer.
- • Create scientifically authentic problems grounded in real biological practice, reflecting authentic scientific and analytical workflows.
- • Develop problems involving experimental reasoning, biological systems, computational analysis, or bioinformatics workflows.
- • Submit complete, verified solutions for all generated problems, ensuring technical accuracy and reproducibility.
- • Apply Python programming to construct and validate biological problems, using specialized biology or bioinformatics tools when relevant.
- • Maintain high standards of rigor, reproducibility, and technical clarity in all problem submissions.
- • Focus on specialized areas within biology including molecular biology, genetics, systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or adjacent quantitative biology fields.
- • Ensure all content is written in clear, precise English with strong attention to detail.
- • Contribute to the creation of high-quality STEM training data used by leading AI labs to improve model reasoning in scientific domains.
- • Work remotely on a part-time contract basis, committing 20 hours per week over a 2-month project duration with potential for extension.
- • Collaborate independently to produce original, difficult problems that test AI reasoning capabilities without relying on ambiguous or open-ended prompts.
- • Validate all solutions to guarantee they are unambiguous, technically sound, and aligned with current biological science standards.
- • Utilize computational methods to simulate or analyze biological data as part of problem design, where applicable.
- • Ensure all tools, datasets, and methodologies referenced in problems are accurately documented and reproducible.
- • Adapt problem complexity to target frontier AI models’ reasoning limits in quantitative biological domains.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s or PhD in Biology or a related life sciences field
- • Research or industry experience involving computational or quantitative biological analysis
- • Strong Python skills; experience with data analysis or bioinformatics workflows preferred
- • Strong reasoning ability and comfort with multi-step scientific problem solving
- • Ability to create original, difficult problems grounded in real biological practice
- • Clear written English and strong attention to detail
