📋 Description

• As a Brand Designer at Kota Technologies Limited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of a fast-growing insurtech company redefining employee benefits for the modern workforce. Your work will directly influence how Kota is perceived by enterprise clients, partners, and users across Europe, helping to establish a cohesive, premium brand presence that reflects the company’s mission of making benefits more accessible, valued, and global.
• You will shape and evolve Kota’s visual identity across key brand touchpoints, including the website, product launches, social media, marketing campaigns, sales materials, and internal communications. This involves translating strategic messaging into compelling visual systems that are both aesthetically refined and functionally effective, ensuring brand consistency while adapting to diverse use cases.
• Day to day, you will design and ship brand experiences across web, launches, social, campaigns, and other marketing surfaces, working closely with the marketing team to create assets that are on-brand, effective, and coherent. You will collaborate with product design to align brand expression with product experience, contributing to a unified user journey from awareness to engagement.
• You will build a consistent brand language across layout, typography, imagery, motion, and tone, developing templates, guidelines, and reusable systems that scale the brand efficiently as Kota grows. This includes raising the overall quality bar of how Kota looks and feels across the company, pushing beyond ‘good enough’ in every detail—from microcopy to motion design.
• You will join the design team early and work alongside existing product designers to form the core of Kota’s design function, becoming the first full-time hire dedicated to the Brand team. This offers significant autonomy and ownership from day one, with the space to define Kota’s visual language through design, motion, and storytelling while prototyping and building using AI, no-code, or low-code tools.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and elevate Kota’s visual identity at a critical growth stage, gaining deep experience in building a brand from the ground up in a startup environment. You will refine your ability to balance craft with speed, iterate rapidly without sacrificing quality, and contribute to a culture that values excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement—directly aligning with Kota’s values of raising the bar, owning your ship, and playing to win.

🎯 Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful, high-quality brand work across digital surfaces such as web, social, and marketing campaigns.
• Excellent visual craft in typography, composition, hierarchy, and art direction, with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
• Ability to build scalable brand systems, not just one-off assets, including guidelines, templates, and reusable components.
• Comfort shipping polished work using AI, no-code, or low-code tools to accelerate design and delivery.
• Strong taste and a clear point of view, with the judgment to know when to push creative boundaries and when to simplify for clarity and impact.
• Experience building brands in a startup environment, with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting.
• Bonus: Ability to kickstart motion, interactive, or narrative experiences without engineering support.
