- • As a Builder at SafeLease, you will be a key contributor to a profitable, fast-growing insurance technology company that designs, underwrites, and distributes specialty commercial property insurance. You’ll work in small, autonomous pods with significant ownership over the problems you solve, blending product thinking, engineering, and AI-augmented development to deliver real business impact. - • Your day-to-day will involve starting with business problems rather than tickets, collaborating with product and design stakeholders to shape solutions, and taking full ownership of features from concept to production. You’ll write clean, maintainable full-stack code using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, and relational databases, while leveraging AWS for infrastructure. You’ll actively use AI-powered development tools like Cursor, Claude, or Copilot to accelerate exploration and implementation, focusing your energy on high-judgment tasks. Beyond coding, you’ll identify systemic improvements to the platform, team workflows, or product quality, and share insights to elevate those around you.

🎯 Requirements
- • 2-5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with a proven track record of shipping real-world applications
- • Proficiency across frontend (TypeScript, JavaScript, React), backend (Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs), and infrastructure (relational databases, Git, AWS)
- • Demonstrated fluency with AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as an active part of your workflow
- • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to ask insightful questions, give direct feedback, and elevate team performance
- • Comfort with ambiguity and a problem-first mindset—you prioritize understanding business context before writing code
