  • • Prospect and acquire net new clients within an assigned geographical territory, focusing on companies not currently active Gartner clients.
  • • Identify and target key buying centers across large multinational enterprises to expand Gartner’s client base.
  • • Build and manage a pipeline of new prospects, transitioning them into paying clients through consultative sales approaches.
  • • Drive sales of Gartner’s research, advisory, and technology solutions to enterprise-level decision-makers.
  • • Collaborate with internal teams and external networks to prioritize and penetrate high-value accounts.
  • • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor on business and technology strategy.
  • • Execute Gartner’s internal sales methodology, products, and services with consistent accuracy and compliance.
  • • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts with high accuracy and accountability.
  • • Achieve and exceed territory-specific revenue quotas aligned to research and advisory service sales.
  • • Hand over closed clients to existing Account Executives within 30 days of deal closure to ensure seamless service continuity.
  • • Utilize account planning and time management tools to optimize sales efficiency and maximize revenue growth.
  • • Articulate a compelling value proposition to C-suite and senior technology executives.
  • • Demonstrate rapid comprehension and problem-solving ability in dynamic, complex sales environments.
  • • Influence stakeholders across the organization without direct reporting authority to advance sales objectives.
  • • Maintain deep understanding of technology buying centers and enterprise procurement processes.
  • • Deliver high-impact presentations and communications at the executive level with clarity and confidence.
  • • Operate in a remote capacity while maintaining alignment with Gartner’s global sales culture and performance standards.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum 15 years proven consultative sales experience in high technology (services or software) to large multinational companies
  • • Proven experience in developing new business by building prospect lists and converting prospects to clients
  • • Proven experience in closing enterprise-wide complex sales solutions
  • • Fluent level of German
  • • Strong ability to influence others in the organization with no direct reporting relationship
  • • Ability to articulate a strong value proposition at the executive level
