  • • Drive year-on-year revenue and margin growth across the UK Public Sector through strategic business development initiatives.
  • • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities aligned with Capita Public Services’ propositions in Contact Centre, Tech Sales, BPO, and Case Management.
  • • Develop compelling win strategies that directly address customer needs and leverage Capita’s technology-enabled solutions.
  • • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across public sector organisations including Local Government.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with market development, Win Centre, and technology teams to embed technology solutions into new business opportunities.
  • • Manage sales pipeline using data, insight, and sales tools to ensure accurate forecasting and informed strategic planning.
  • • Ensure seamless transition of newly won business into delivery and account management teams through close coordination with CPS departments.
  • • Utilise market intelligence, research, and commercial analysis to qualify opportunities and shape tailored client solutions.
  • • Apply business development best practices including account planning, pipeline discipline, reporting, and risk management.
  • • Operate from a home-based location with occasional travel required for team collaboration and client engagement meetings.
  • • Contribute to Capita’s Growth Function by supporting the standardisation of sales processes, training, technology, and knowledge sharing.
  • • Work within a collaborative, forward-thinking team focused on innovation, client value, and purposeful change in public services.
  • • Maintain accurate records and reporting to support strategic planning and performance tracking across the public sector portfolio.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience working in the Public Services Sector with a proven track record in selling Contact Centre, Tech Sales, BPO, or Case Management propositions.
  • • Demonstrated experience managing a business development or sales pipeline with a consistent history of achieving targets.
  • • Proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and build trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • • Commercially astute with strong skills in qualifying opportunities and shaping tailored, solution-based sales approaches.
  • • Skilled in using insight, research, and market intelligence to drive sales decisions and strategy.
  • • Strong understanding of business development best practices including account planning, pipeline discipline, reporting, and risk management.
