- • Own the full-cycle sales motion for North America’s fastest-growing private-equity market. You will prospect, qualify, pitch, negotiate, and close new logos while expanding existing accounts, consistently beating an annual quota that scales with the company’s 100 %+ YoY growth.
- • Build and nurture a high-value book of business (average deal size $150 k–$1 M) composed of top-tier PE firms, portfolio companies, and their management-consulting partners. You will map economic buyers, champions, and influencers across operating partners, deal teams, and value-creation groups, turning one-off studies into multi-year research retainers.
- • Translate complex diligence and value-creation questions into crisp, data-driven proposals. Leverage Potloc’s 343 M+ respondent database, AI analytics layer, and end-to-end research oversight to craft bespoke quantitative solutions—market sizing, customer due-diligence, churn reduction, pricing optimization—that directly influence investment theses and exit multiples.
- • Co-create account strategy with Managing Director, Sales Engineer, and Project Management teams. Run quarterly business reviews, white-space mapping, and executive workshops to uncover new use cases, secure renewals, and drive 30 %+ net-revenue retention.
- • Maintain a forensic level of CRM hygiene in HubSpot—every call, email, MEDDICC field, and next step logged in real time—so forecasting stays within 5 % accuracy and leadership can make data-backed decisions on staffing, product roadmap, and capital allocation.
- • Serve as the voice of the PE market inside Potloc. Feed competitive intel, pricing sensitivity, and emerging research needs to Product, Marketing, and Executive teams, influencing roadmap priorities that keep us two steps ahead of legacy incumbents.
- • Travel up to 25 % (post-pandemic) for on-site pitches, diligence read-outs, and industry conferences; otherwise operate from our sun-lit Tribeca loft or your home office, supported by best-in-class remote tooling and a culture that prizes outcomes over optics.
- • Champion Potloc’s four core values—Excellence, Teamwork, Honesty, Adaptability—by mentoring junior reps, leading deal clinics, and sharing win-loss stories that level-up the entire North American sales organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–10 years of quota-carrying sales experience selling data, insights, or consulting solutions directly to private-equity clients; documented track record of ≥100 % quota attainment and six-figure annual commissions.
- • Executive presence and polished communication skills—comfortable presenting to C-suite operating partners and ex-consultant deal teams; able to distill complex survey methodologies into crisp ROI narratives.
- • Deep fluency in the PE lifecycle (diligence, value-creation, exit) and the ability to align research deliverables to fund strategy, holding periods, and value-creation levers.
- • Rigorous sales process discipline—MEDDICC, Command of the Message, or equivalent—combined with meticulous CRM hygiene (HubSpot or Salesforce).
- • Analytical mindset: can interpret conjoint, TAM models, and pricing elasticity outputs to co-create insights with clients; Excel and basic statistical literacy required.
- • Authorized to work in the United States; located in NYC or able to travel domestically up to 25 %.
