📋 Description

• As a Business Strategy and Planning Director at USAA, you will provide strategic support and guidance to executive management to identify, develop, and communicate business strategies across functional areas, leveraging deep expertise in USAA, industry trends, business development, and financial planning.
• You will lead strategic analyses of business needs and environmental trends, conduct strategy reviews to assess progress, and drive awareness of strategy achievement while supporting enterprise strategy and planning processes.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include driving the development and coordination of functional strategy components, establishing strategic and operational frameworks with executive leadership, managing strategic and operational planning processes, aligning business processes with enterprise strategy, and partnering with senior leaders to develop near- and long-term visions and roadmaps.
• You will oversee change management integration, guide team research and analysis, lead the design and governance of annual strategic and operational planning processes, motivate cross-functional teams, and ensure risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in compliance with risk and policy frameworks.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
• 8 years of directly related business planning consultation experience, including developing business strategy for short- and long-term goals
• Experience influencing and communicating with senior executives through concise, official updates on strategy, progress, and roadmaps
• Extensive experience in project management
• Strong business acumen in financial services or related industries, with proven ability to balance strategic thinking and practical implementation
• Experience working with clients or customers to identify business issues and develop strategic direction from insights
