📋 Description

• The Business Value Consultant/Business Value Engineer role at DTN is critical for translating technical solutions into compelling economic justifications that drive executive buying decisions and accelerate sales cycles across Energy, Agriculture, and Weather sectors.
• Day to day, the role involves partnering with Sales Engineers to quantify solution impact, building ROI models and executive business cases, leading value-focused discovery conversations with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and developing scalable value frameworks and messaging assets for sales and marketing teams.
• DTN is a global data and technology company with over 1,200 employees, serving mission-critical industries by turning complex data into decision-grade insights through its Operational Decisioning Platform, with a foundation built on clarity, trust, and action.
• In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in value engineering methodologies, gain cross-sector experience in Energy, Agriculture, and Weather industries, refine executive storytelling and financial modeling skills, and contribute to thought leadership that shapes how DTN communicates and delivers customer value.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in Value Engineering, Value Advisory, management consulting, or equivalent value-focused GTM roles
• Strong track record building and presenting ROI models and executive business cases
• Ability to translate solution outcomes into financial and strategic impact in complex buying environments
• Experience partnering effectively with Sales Engineers and Sales teams
• Excellent analytical, storytelling, and executive communication skills
• Experience in Energy, Agriculture, and/or Weather-driven industries preferred — or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and model sector-specific economics
