• • The Captive Senior Benefits Underwriter is responsible for underwriting Health coverage for new business, renewals, and endorsements, playing a critical role in ensuring the long-term profitability of Ryan Specialty Benefits by managing risk and supporting strategic initiatives.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include executing underwriting using manual and experience rating techniques, analyzing and evaluating risks, delivering timely and accurate quotes/binders, meeting premium and retention targets, servicing assigned accounts and brokers, preparing case referrals, reviewing medical and financial data, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Claims, Actuarial, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting revenue goals through distribution partnerships, engaging in professional development, participating in quarterly self-audits, providing training on underwriting authority, and strategizing with territory teams to strengthen broker relationships.
• • The role operates within Ryan Specialty Benefits, a division of Ryans Goh Holdings Sdn. Bhd., which emphasizes a collaborative, compliance-driven culture and partners closely with Specialty Sales, Captive Management, Claims, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Risk teams to achieve business objectives.
• • The incumbent will develop deep expertise in captive insurance models and complex employee benefits underwriting, refine leadership and mentoring capabilities, strengthen cross-functional collaboration skills, stay current with industry regulations and best practices, and contribute directly to organizational profitability and risk management excellence.
