- • Serve as a clinical expert providing domain-specific medical knowledge to guide the development and validation of AI models focused on cardiac diagnostics and patient outcomes.
- • Review and annotate cardiac imaging data including echocardiograms, ECGs, and cardiac MRIs to train and test machine learning algorithms.
- • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define clinical endpoints, diagnostic criteria, and performance metrics for AI tools targeting cardiovascular disease detection.
- • Validate AI-generated diagnostic outputs against gold-standard clinical interpretations to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- • Participate in the design of clinical workflows that integrate AI tools into real-world cardiology practice settings.
- • Provide feedback on user interfaces and clinical decision support features to ensure usability and alignment with physician workflows.
- • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory documentation for FDA, CE Mark, or other healthcare technology approvals.
- • Engage in ongoing review of emerging cardiology literature to ensure AI models reflect current clinical guidelines and best practices.
- • Act as the primary clinical liaison between the AI development team and external healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinical trial sites.
- • Conduct training sessions for internal teams on cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic nuances, and clinical context critical to model interpretation.
- • Maintain strict adherence to patient privacy regulations including GDPR and HIPAA when handling sensitive health data.
- • Document all clinical inputs, decisions, and validations in a structured, auditable format for quality assurance and audit readiness.
- • Identify potential biases in training data and recommend corrective actions to ensure equitable AI performance across diverse patient populations.
- • Support pilot implementations of AI tools in clinical environments, observing usage and collecting feedback from practicing cardiologists.
- • Contribute to scientific publications, white papers, and conference presentations detailing the clinical validation of AI applications in cardiology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Board certification in Cardiology or equivalent clinical credential
- • Minimum of 5 years of active clinical practice in cardiology
- • Experience with cardiac imaging modalities (echocardiography, ECG, cardiac MRI, CT)
- • Demonstrated ability to interpret and annotate complex cardiac clinical data
- • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in healthcare applications
- • Valid license to practice medicine in the United Kingdom
