📋 Description

  • Serve as an apprentice Pricing Analyst within BlaBlaCar’s Carpool Pricing team, supporting data-driven decisions to optimize pricing strategies for carpool rides across 21 countries.
  • Analyze ride demand patterns, supply availability, and competitor pricing signals using internal data tools and dashboards to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
  • Assist in the development and testing of dynamic pricing models by collecting, cleaning, and validating datasets from ride transactions, user behavior, and geographic regions.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and product managers to interpret pricing performance metrics, including take-rate, occupancy, and revenue per ride, and document findings for team reviews.
  • Participate in weekly pricing experiments and A/B tests, tracking outcomes and preparing summaries to inform iterative improvements to pricing algorithms.
  • Monitor regional pricing anomalies and flag inconsistencies in ride pricing across cities, countries, or user segments for further investigation.
  • Learn and apply BlaBlaCar’s internal analytics platforms, including SQL-based querying tools, BI dashboards, and data visualization systems used to track real-time pricing KPIs.
  • Support the documentation of pricing rules, assumptions, and model parameters to ensure transparency and reproducibility across the pricing function.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings with operations, marketing, and engineering teams to understand how pricing impacts user acquisition, retention, and overall marketplace balance.
  • Receive structured mentorship from senior Pricing Analysts to develop expertise in marketplace economics, behavioral pricing, and ride-sharing dynamics.
  • Contribute to monthly reporting packages that summarize pricing performance, user response, and market trends for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain strict data integrity standards by verifying input sources, validating output results, and adhering to company data governance protocols.
  • Stay informed about evolving mobility trends and regulatory changes in carpooling markets across Europe and beyond that may influence pricing strategy.
  • Participate in internal training sessions on data literacy, statistical analysis fundamentals, and pricing psychology tailored for apprentices.
  • Document all analytical work in a structured, reproducible format to support knowledge transfer and team scalability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing tools by providing feedback on usability, accuracy, and efficiency based on hands-on experience.

🎯 Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and experience working with structured datasets
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to interpret numerical patterns
  • Fluency in English; French proficiency is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, international team environment
  • Interest in marketplace dynamics, ride-sharing, or mobility economics
