- • Open and manage liability insurance claims with relevant carriers, including sending letters of representation, securing claim numbers, and identifying adjuster assignments while maintaining consistent follow-up to ensure acknowledgment and timely response
- • Draft and submit FOIA and public records requests to police departments, state agencies, and municipal offices to obtain police reports, supplemental narratives, dash cam footage, body cam footage, and 911 audio recordings
- • Track the status of all records requests across multiple jurisdictions, escalate non-responsive agencies, and ensure timely receipt of critical evidence required for case progression
- • Request and systematically follow up on medical records, witness statements, scene photographs, and other evidentiary materials, implementing protocols to flag delays and initiate escalation procedures
- • Conduct detailed liability analysis using police reports, witness statements, and visual evidence to assess fault allocation, comparative negligence exposure, and identify evidentiary gaps in each case
- • Organize all collected evidence—including reports, videos, photos, and statements—into comprehensive, case-ready packages for lead paralegals to support settlement demand drafting
- • Manage ongoing communication with insurance carriers, government agencies, medical providers, and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of documentation throughout the pre-litigation lifecycle
- • Identify inefficiencies in evidence collection and case setup workflows, propose actionable improvements, and implement process changes to reduce cycle time from intake to demand-ready status
- • Maintain meticulous documentation standards for all case-related materials, ensuring audit-ready records and adherence to internal compliance protocols
- • Work within a fast-paced, evolving startup environment where ownership of processes, adaptability, and initiative are critical to scaling operations nationwide
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with paralegals, operations teams, and technology product teams to provide feedback on system needs and contribute to automation opportunities in pre-litigation workflows
- • Ensure all case materials are accurately categorized, timestamped, and stored in accordance with Finch’s internal case management standards to support scalability and quality assurance
- • Act as a key operational bridge between client intake and settlement preparation, ensuring no evidentiary step is missed and all documentation supports the strongest possible claim position
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in personal injury pre-litigation case management
- • Proven track record drafting and managing FOIA and public records requests across multiple jurisdictions
- • Experience opening liability, UM/UIM, and med pay insurance claims and managing relationships with insurance carriers
- • Demonstrated ability to conduct liability analysis using police reports, witness statements, and scene evidence
- • Strong attention to detail and experience organizing complex evidence into case-ready packages
- • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes and high ownership expectations
