- • As a Success Engineer, you will be at the forefront of empowering our diverse customer base, which includes software engineers, data engineers, and data analysts. Your primary mission is to ensure these users, who value expert advice from peers, derive maximum value from Metabase.

- • You will engage directly with our users, dedicating time to deeply understand their unique goals, specific challenges, and the intricacies of their data environments. This involves active listening and probing to uncover their needs and aspirations.
- • A key responsibility will be to guide customers in designing and optimizing their Metabase implementations. This includes advising on best practices for data modeling, dashboard creation, and user management to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- • You will act as a technical sherpa, assisting customers in navigating the complexities of data integration. This involves guiding them on how to extract data from various sources, transform it into usable formats, and translate their analytical questions into effective SQL queries that Metabase can execute.
- • A significant part of your role will involve solving complex technical problems and troubleshooting customer issues. You will be expected to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical challenges, providing timely and effective solutions.
- • You will collaborate closely with our technical communication team to develop and refine educational materials. This includes creating documentation, tutorials, guides, and best practice articles that enhance the user experience and knowledge base.
- • Crucially, you will serve as the voice of the customer within Metabase. Your insights and feedback will be invaluable to our product and engineering teams, directly influencing product development, feature prioritization, and the overall roadmap.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing production code, administering systems, and/or managing databases.
- • Strong proficiency in database management and advanced SQL skills.
- • Expertise in at least two of the following areas: designing and developing web applications, managing infrastructure (Docker, AWS/GCP/etc.), or managing databases.
- • A genuine passion for helping people and solving complex technical problems.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
