  • • As CEO-in-Residence at Up Labs Inc., you will lead the creation and scaling of a vertical AI startup focused on transforming industrial and manufacturing operations through intelligent maintenance knowledge systems. This role is pivotal in launching a venture backed by a leading heavy machinery and industrial manufacturing partner, offering structural advantages rare in early-stage startups.
  • • You will own and drive strategy, operations, and execution—including P&L, go-to-market, and beyond—while recruiting and leading a top-tier team across engineering, product, and sales. Your day-to-day involves translating complex supply chain and logistics challenges into world-class software solutions and building deep partnerships with customers within the corporate partner ecosystem.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Up Labs’ product, venture, engineering, legal, recruiting, and GTM teams to shape the MVP, refine the product, and prepare for post-incubation scaling. The role begins with shaping the venture as a founder-in-residence and culminates in leading the company to exit within a 3–4 year horizon.
  • • This position offers the opportunity to build a company from zero to scale with urgency and clarity, leveraging pre-validated market demand, enterprise traction, and founder-level equity. You will gain hands-on experience in venture building, capital raising, and scaling deep-tech startups under the guidance of institutional investors and industry leaders.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience founding or scaling a B2B SaaS or data platform, preferably in industrial manufacturing, heavy machinery, or related sectors
  • • Track record of selling into or working with complex enterprises, including OEMs, distribution networks, or partner ecosystems
  • • Experience building AI/ML-enabled platforms or identifying and constructing defensible data moats in industrial contexts
  • • History of closing enterprise customers and maintaining long-term commercial relationships
  • • Demonstrated success leading a company through Series A+ funding or to a successful exit
  • • Proven ability to build, inspire, and lead exceptional, diverse teams under pressure
