- • Architect and own the end-to-end data warehouse that will become the single source of truth for all teams—Trading, Risk, Product, Marketing, and Finance—at Aster, the fastest-growing decentralized exchange for crypto derivatives on BNB Chain and Arbitrum.
- • Design, build, and continuously optimize low-latency, real-time data streaming pipelines that ingest on-chain events, order-book snapshots, perpetual contract trades, and LP yield data with sub-second freshness so traders can act on market moves before competitors even see them.
- • Empower every stakeholder to answer their own questions by curating clean, well-documented, and battle-tested datasets in our semantic layer; you will be the go-to person who turns raw blockchain logs into intuitive tables and dashboards that Product Managers can query without writing SQL.
- • Establish bullet-proof data governance and security frameworks that satisfy both TradFi auditors and DeFi purists: role-based access, PII tokenization, GDPR compliance, and on-chain data integrity checks that guarantee zero slippage in our analytics just like we guarantee zero slippage in trading.
- • Partner with quant researchers to back-test 1001x leverage strategies, surface hidden risk factors, and simulate black-swan scenarios; your insights will directly influence margin requirements and liquidation thresholds that protect >$500 M in daily volume.
- • Collaborate with smart-contract engineers to design event schemas that emit the exact data points you need, reducing ETL complexity and saving 30 %+ compute costs on Arbitrum gas fees.
- • Build self-healing data quality monitors that alert the team on Discord within 60 seconds when any metric drifts beyond statistical norms; you’ll sleep better knowing traders won’t wake up to bad data.
- • Stay on the bleeding edge—evaluate emerging tools like DuckDB-WASM for browser analytics, Flink SQL for stream processing, and zero-knowledge proofs for privacy-preserving dashboards—and run monthly tech talks to level-up the entire Aster crew.
- • Translate complex findings into crisp narratives for the executive team; your five-slide deck could be the difference between launching a new perpetual market or sunsetting it.
- • Champion a culture of experimentation: A/B test new fee tiers, measure LP yield elasticity, and publish open research that positions Aster as the thought leader in decentralized derivatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Certified Data Analyst (CDA) certification or equivalent professional accreditation
- • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
- • 5 + years of hands-on experience in data analysis, BI, or data engineering roles with demonstrable impact on product or revenue decisions
- • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python; hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or similar distributed compute engines; advanced skills in Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms
- • Nice-to-have: prior exposure to fintech, blockchain, or high-frequency trading environments and familiarity with on-chain data structures such as logs, traces, and events
