- • Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment to patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities.
- • Enter high volumes of prescription data with speed and accuracy into multiple pharmacy software systems.
- • Utilize drug knowledge to obtain prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers from prescribers.
- • Perform claim adjudication duties including prior authorizations, billing verification, and eligibility checks.
- • Conduct outbound calls to patients to create, update, or maintain medication profiles and establish trusted points of contact.
- • Resolve patient care issues by working through active case queues and coordinating with clinical pharmacists and medical professionals.
- • Serve as a liaison between pharmacists, clinicians, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
- • Onboard new patients by facilitating smooth transitions into ExactCare’s pharmacy services and placing welcome calls.
- • Accurately retrieve and verify prescription information through direct communication with prescribing providers.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance when handling patient records and sensitive health information.
- • Support peak call volume periods by serving as backup for high-demand times.
- • Assist patients with medication-related questions and concerns over the phone.
- • Operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting a nationwide patient base of over 100,000 individuals.

- • Work within a closed-door pharmacy model with primary responsibilities centered on remote, phone-based patient care support.
- • Navigate complex pharmacy software platforms to process prescriptions, manage authorizations, and update patient records.
- • Maintain strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a remote office setting.
- • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of pharmacy billing processes and regulatory compliance standards.
- • Think critically to document patient interactions and clinical details in a manner compliant with state and federal regulations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) with current certification
- • Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Minimum 18 years of age
- • Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
- • Comfortable working in a phone-based, remote environment with 90% desk time
