- • Review account billing for accuracy and communicate necessary changes directly with patients to ensure proper financial processing.
- • Coordinate patient profiles with appropriate pharmacy support services to facilitate seamless care delivery.
- • Provide exceptional customer service daily in a phone-based environment, addressing inquiries from patients, doctors’ offices, and pharmacists.
- • Perform claim adjudication duties including prior authorizations, billing verification, and eligibility checks to ensure timely medication access.
- • Work through active case queues to identify and resolve patient care issues, ensuring continuity of treatment and compliance.
- • Conduct patient outreach to collect outstanding payments and coordinate customized payment plans aligned with patient needs.
- • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals to support patient-specific care coordination.
- • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
- • Accurately retrieve prescription information and verify details through direct communication with prescribing physicians.
- • Operate efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment supporting ExactCare’s nationwide patient base of over 100,000 individuals.
- • Utilize multiple pharmacy software systems to fulfill medication orders, manage workflows, and update patient data in real time.
- • Apply strong math skills and profitability calculation abilities to support billing and financial operations.
- • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy billing processes, and prescription transfer protocols.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and clinical information at all times.
- • Think critically to document pertinent details with precision and compliance in alignment with regulatory standards.
- • Work independently with strong prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

- • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs of the pharmacy services team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) with current certification
- • Must maintain active pharmacy technician registration with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
- • Must be 18 years of age or older
- • Ohio resident
