📋 Description

• • Own the financial destiny of a high-growth, PE-backed platform that has already proven product-market fit and is now sprinting toward a liquidity event. You will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO and the board to craft every aspect of capital strategy, resource allocation, and value creation for two fast-scaling brands—Pet Benefit Solutions and Shepherd Veterinary Solutions.
• • Architect a best-in-class finance organization from the ground up. Design and implement scalable accounting, FP&A, treasury, and investor-relations processes that can support 2×–3× revenue growth and a steady drumbeat of M&A activity. Your systems will be the single source of truth that guides daily decisions and board-level strategy.
• • Translate complex financial data into crisp, actionable insights for operators, investors, and lenders. Build dynamic dashboards and KPIs that illuminate unit economics, cohort retention, cash-conversion cycles, and acquisition synergies—then coach business leaders to act on them with speed and confidence.
• • Lead all capital-market activities: cash-flow forecasting, debt-equity structuring, covenant management, and liquidity planning. Serve as the primary liaison to our private-equity sponsor, commercial banks, and potential new investors. Prepare the company for Series B, recap, or strategic exit—whatever path delivers maximum shareholder value.
• • Drive end-to-end M&A execution. Build valuation models, lead diligence, negotiate term sheets, and quarterback post-close integration to unlock revenue and cost synergies across the platform. You will personally own the integration playbook that turns newly acquired companies into accretive contributors within 90–120 days.
• • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and enterprise risk management. Ensure SOX-ready processes, audit readiness, and bulletproof reporting that will withstand the scrutiny of future public-market investors or strategic acquirers.
• • Mentor and elevate a cross-functional team of finance, accounting, and HR professionals. Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, radical candor, and disciplined execution. Create career paths that attract and retain top-tier talent in a competitive market.
• • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to optimize pricing, channel mix, and customer-lifetime value. Translate financial insights into frontline tactics that accelerate ARR growth and expand gross margins.
• • Serve as a thought leader on ESG and mission-driven metrics that resonate with pet-loving consumers and purpose-oriented investors. Ensure our financial success reinforces our commitment to improving the lives of pets and their families.
• • Prepare board and investor materials that tell a compelling story—one that marries operational excellence with a clear line-of-sight to exit value. Your narrative will be the bridge between day-to-day execution and transformational liquidity.
