đź“‹ Description

  • • Health Catalyst is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) or Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and shape our market narrative. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic, mission-driven leader ready to take on expanded responsibilities and drive the next phase of our technology-led growth in the healthcare industry.
  • • As a leader in healthcare performance improvement, Health Catalyst leverages data, analytics, and expertise to achieve measurable clinical, operational, and financial improvements for leading healthcare organizations globally. Our mission is to be the catalyst for massive, data-informed healthcare improvement, and the CMO/SVP of Marketing will be instrumental in communicating this mission and our value proposition to the market.
  • • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, generate qualified sales pipeline, and support customer acquisition and retention in a cost-effective manner. This includes defining the company's market narrative, technology positioning, product marketing strategies, demand generation programs, and event presence.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with our growth and product organizations to ensure alignment and maximize market impact. You will translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling buyer value propositions that resonate with our target audience.
  • • The CMO/SVP of Marketing will oversee all aspects of product marketing, including market segmentation, in-depth buyer insights, competitive intelligence, and robust sales enablement programs. This ensures our sales teams are equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively communicate our offerings.
  • • You will also lead account-based marketing (ABM) strategies designed to foster deeper customer adoption, loyalty, and expansion opportunities. This involves a targeted approach to engaging key accounts and demonstrating ongoing value.
  • • Demand generation will be a core focus, with responsibility for directing all demand generation programs, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), ABM, and paid media campaigns. Success will be measured by clear Return on Investment (ROI), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) efficiency, and qualified funnel contribution targets.
  • • The role includes ownership of the company’s events and trade show strategy. This involves ensuring a consistent and impactful brand presence, driving meaningful engagement, and achieving measurable, cost-responsible pipeline impact from these activities.
  • • Continuous improvement of messaging, content, and campaign performance is essential. You will drive this through ongoing analysis, data-driven insights, and effective sharing of learnings across the organization.
  • • Leveraging both owned and third-party channels will be critical to broadening our reach and strengthening our brand authority efficiently. This requires a strategic approach to channel selection and optimization.
  • • A significant part of this role is managing and developing a high-performing marketing team. You will foster an environment that encourages creativity, operational excellence, and a relentless focus on delivering measurable results.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to craft a clear and compelling narrative that effectively connects product capabilities with buyer needs and industry pain points. Experience in bringing new products, features, or major enhancements to market, including positioning, messaging, launch planning, and sales enablement, is crucial.
  • • You will demonstrate success in partnering with Product and Sales teams to align messaging, drive adoption, and ensure market readiness. A strong background in product marketing and demand generation, with a proven ability to translate market insights into effective campaigns and qualified funnel growth, is required.
  • • A track record of using data to guide marketing decisions, measure ROI, and optimize investments is paramount. Experience managing or contributing to successful events and trade shows that drive significant awareness and pipeline impact is also essential.
  • • The ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority, particularly in fast-paced environments, is a key requirement. Demonstrated growth in responsibility and scope throughout your career will indicate readiness for this expanded leadership role.
  • • While a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or a related field is required, an advanced degree is considered a plus. Strong familiarity with Health Catalyst products, customers, and market dynamics is highly desirable.
  • • This role demands at least ten years of experience in the healthcare or technology sectors, with a clear trajectory of increasing responsibility and scope. You must possess a deep commitment to the Health Catalyst mission and values, and a high comfort level working with technology concepts, translating them effectively for both business and clinical audiences.
  • • Information security and compliance are integral to all roles at Health Catalyst. You will be expected to maintain compliance with all training directives related to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy, and HIPAA Privacy and Security, safeguarding information assets and reporting any potential security events.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles within the healthcare or technology sectors.
  • • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies, product marketing, and demand generation campaigns that drive measurable business results.
  • • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives, position complex products, and enable sales teams effectively.
  • • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to marketing, including experience in ROI analysis, CAC optimization, and funnel management.
  • • Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

  • • Competitive salary and executive-level benefits package.
  • • Significant impact on the company's growth and market position.
  • • Flexible work environment with remote options within the US.
