📋 Description

• Work directly with the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) to run the New York City office and R&D organization spanning engineering, product, and design.
• Attend key meetings on behalf of or alongside the CPO, own follow-ups, and ensure no critical items fall through the cracks.
• Own strategic projects end-to-end, including overhauling the R&D recruiting process, analyzing global R&D spend for optimization, and researching new market opportunities.
• Build financial models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to enable faster, data-driven decision-making by the CPO and leadership team.
• Draft internal and external communications, including memos, presentations, and executive summaries.
• Proactively identify and fix process gaps across the R&D organization without being asked, improving efficiency and alignment.
• Serve as the connective tissue between the CPO and cross-functional teams, ensuring context, priorities, and feedback flow seamlessly in both directions.
• Work on a highly dynamic range of tasks weekly—ranging from operational improvements to strategic market analysis—with no two weeks being the same.
• Operate in a fast-paced startup environment with high autonomy, requiring initiative, urgency, and ownership of outcomes.
• Be available and responsive outside standard hours; the role demands late nights and weekends due to the speed and intensity of startup operations.
• Leverage AI tools extensively in daily work, either through existing proficiency or a strong motivation to integrate AI as a core operational lever.
• Contribute to building the security layer for the AI era by supporting product and engineering efforts that protect enterprises from AI-powered threats like deepfakes, smishing, and voice scams.
• Collaborate with teams trusted by leading banks, technology companies, and healthcare organizations to scale Adaptive’s product and operational infrastructure.
• Participate in a culture of high accountability, where delivering on commitments quickly and accurately is non-negotiable.
• Engage in a tour-of-duty role designed to accelerate career growth, with past holders transitioning into Product Manager or department leadership roles.
• Operate from the company’s New York City office five days a week with no remote work option.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree from a top university with a strong academic record
• 1-4 years of experience in consulting, private equity, venture capital, or a fast-moving startup
• Extremely hardworking and accountable—do what you say you’ll do, and do it fast
• Analytically strong: able to build models, structure datasets, and present findings clearly
• AI-native: already using AI heavily in work or personal life, or highly motivated to make it core to how you operate
• Strong communicator in writing and in person
