- • As a Civil Engineering Tutor at xAI Corporation, you will play a critical role in advancing the company’s mission to build AI systems that understand the universe by providing expert input and labeling on complex civil and environmental engineering datasets, directly contributing to the training of next-generation AI models.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include using proprietary software to annotate and label engineering data with precision, ensuring high-quality curated datasets that support AI training initiatives, collaborating closely with technical staff to refine annotation tools and workflows, interpreting and executing complex technical instructions autonomously, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI applications in infrastructure, sustainability, and environmental systems.
- • You will be part of a small, highly motivated, and flat-organizational team at xAI, where initiative, engineering excellence, and direct contribution to mission-critical projects are valued above hierarchy, and where your expertise will be leveraged to push the boundaries of AI’s understanding of real-world engineering challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI-driven data curation, gain hands-on experience in shaping how AI learns from technical engineering knowledge, enhance your technical communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced innovation environment, and contribute to meaningful projects that bridge civil engineering with artificial intelligence—potentially influencing future infrastructure design, risk modeling, and sustainable development solutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Must possess a Master’s or PhD in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a highly-related field.
- • Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English.
- • Strong ability to navigate various information resources, databases, and online resources.
- • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
- • Solid reading comprehension skills combined with the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data or material.
- • Strong passion for and commitment to technological advancements and innovation.
